Medical Malpractice

Medical malpractice is one of the most commonly recognized forms of malpractice. It is a suit issued by the client or patient against the medical practitioner for causing injury, damage or loss by providing improper or negligent treatment. This happens when the skilled professional in the filed of medicine fails in his or her duty of ensuring a standard of care expected by the patient. As a result, the doctors, nurses and hospital technicians are closely scrutinized by the client or patient taking their services.

A medical professional is given license to practice in a state based on his or her education, experience and competence to act as a skilled professional in the field of medicine. He or she as a professional may be well known for his or her competence, but can never guarantee completely the services rendered. This is because there is always an element of doubt, risk and chance errors inherent in the health care profession. Hence when a patient does not respond to the medical treatment he or she is undergoing, the situation need not necessarily be termed as medical malpractice.

A lawsuit is issued for malpractice only when it is found that the damage or injury to the patient resulted from the negligence caused by the medical professional (including the doctor) in diagnosis, surgery or treatments.

Before rendering any treatment, the medical professionals procure an individual agreement or informed consent from the patient or client. This document informs the patient about the proposed medical treatments, surgery or other alternative treatment procedures and the possible side effects and potential risks involved. It also gives the doctors or medical professionals full access to the patient’s personal details and facts which are necessary for treatment. But if the patient or his or her members perceive that the doctor or the medical professionals failed in their duty to ensure the standard of care that other medical professionals would have given in a similar circumstance, they can seek legal help. Medical malpractice in legal terms is negligence on the part of the medical professional, and so the attorney of the client, with the expert opinion, takes necessary action for recovery of damages.

Online Shoppers, Beware of a New Scam

Beware of a New Scam Aimed at Bargain-Hunters

Trying to buy something cheap is absolutely natural–and online crooks set traps for unwitting bargain-hunters. On April 6 Panda Software warned Internet users of a new particularly brazen scam aimed at stealing confidential information. Several websites offering cheap airline tickets in fact weren’t selling anything; the aim was to cheat users out of credit card details.

Of course, these sites have already been identified and disabled, but who knows whether (or better to say when) other ones will appear again, this time offering all kinds of products.

The scam is very simple; the thieves simply wait until some unsuspecting user who is searching for airline ticket offers, finds their site offering dirt-cheap airline tickets. Really pleased with himself and looking forward to the trip, the user fills in the form, entering his credit card number, expiry date and verification value (CVV).

As soon as these details have been entered, an error page appears; it tells the user that the transaction has been unsuccessful, and offers instructions on how to pay for the ticket by postal money order. So the user may well be fooled twice. He loses his credit card details, putting them right into the hands of cyber-crooks, and then loses money, if decides to buy the ticket by money order.

Luis Corrons, the director of PandaLabs, comments on this scam: “This kind of online fraud differs from those witnessed previously. The malicious user does not contact the person interested in buying the product, but it is actually the buyer, in searching for the best prices online, who goes to the fraudulent web page. This creates a false sense of security that can lead users to proceed with the transaction”.

This makes such a scam very dangerous. It is the user who finds the “bargain”; no spam or pop-up ad is involved– actually, nobody either forces or tries to persuade the user to buy something. This tactic is bound to be “effective”, if such a word is appropriate here. That is why it is extremely likely that there will be other websites and other scams using the same pattern.

Too Cheap to be a Bargain? You’d Better Steer Clear

How to avoid this kind of fraud? “Users are best advised to treat ‘bargains’ with suspicion, and only make online purchases from trusted sites. In any event, if in doubt, it is a good idea to search for information about the website in question on the Internet. Users should be able to find opinions and experiences of other users who have used the same service,” says Luis Corrons.

That’s all users can do so far — to steer clear of suspicious bargains and to check the firm one is going to buy from. Of course, the authorities are informed; these cybercriminals will be tracked, caught and sent to jail.

But this entire story gives a strong impression that cybercrooks are becoming more and more shameless. People get cheated when they expect it the least — just remember bogus appeals to make donations for tsunami victims.

Such criminals are impudently taking advantage over majority of people — over those who remember the Golden rule and expect others to behave the same way. That is why everybody who either falls the victim of this –or any other–scam, or learns about such incidents, should make this information public. This will be a small contribution that may help to curb growing cybercrime.

5 Tips For Feeding A Happy, Healthy Dog

5 Tips For Feeding A Happy, Healthy Dog
by Mark Eckenrode

Do you really know all there is to know about your canine companion’s nutritional needs? Many pet owners think they’re doing what’s best for their dogs when it comes to food, but in reality they rely on pure instinct more than science. Nutrition isn’t a guessing game, even when it comes to your pooch. Think about it - if you were left to feed yourself based only on what you craved and had no knowledge of what your body needs to function, would you be eating 5 servings of fruit and veggies or would you head straight for the Ding Dong case at the market?

1. Cover all of the bases.

A dog’s diet can be as complex as any human’s (including yours!), and it’s absolutely essential that you, as an owner, hit all of the vital nutritional bases. A deficiency of certain vitamins and nutrients can lead to upset tummies, overly dry or oily skin, brittle bones, weight issues, and, in some of the worst cases, death. A balanced and proper diet is the building block of your dog’s overall health - if he doesn’t get the right blend of nutrients, the most impeccable care otherwise won’t mean a thing. But with the right diet, his defenses against disease and disorders are infinitely stronger than a dog whose owner hasn’t put much thought into an eating plan.

2. Mix it up!

For the most part, pre-packaged food will help you cover all of the major nutritional requirements a healthy, fairly young dog has. This where many owners trip up simply because of the ease of the decision. Most think that the major choice is between dry and moist food, when in reality the best diet you can provide your dog is one varied in ingredients, textures, and nutritional value. Dogs, of course, are carnivores, and that instinct remains in their blood to this day. They continue to hunt prey (poor Kitty), love sausage-flavored treats, and adore the great crunch they get when chowing down on a bone. Those varied elements should give you a little bit of insight into how diverse your dog’s diet can be.

3. Move beyond meat.

Building some portion of his diet from meat gives you many of the crucial nutrients he needs for energy and growth, but he also needs fiber and carbohydrates to aid in digestion and stability. You could throw down a bowl of dry food every day and maybe give him a “treat” of moist food once a month, but how would you like it if the tables were turned and he insisted on feeding you pancakes every day for the rest of your life? Not such a sunny outlook, is it?

4. Make it a real meal.

Listen, nobody ever said you had to rely on a bag or can of food to feed your dog. You cook for your family all the time. Doesn’t your dog deserve similar treatment? Most owners say they’d love to cook for their pups but just don’t know where to start, and that’s where I come in. Now you can help fulfill all of your dog’s nutritional needs as well as his taste desires with just one quick flip through my new book, 180 Delicious Gourmet Dog Recipes. I know, I know, you’re busy, and there’s barely time to cook your family a proper meal. That’s why you’ll love this book - in addition to covering all of the usual recipes like traditional dog chow and cookies, I’ve created several that are healthy and delicious enough for you, your dog, and your family. Being skeptical is natural; after all, I never dreamed I’d come up with recipes I could easily share with my dogs! But how can you pass up recipes like biscotti, muffins, omelettes, dinner mints, and even sushi?

5. Give him some green.

Your dog needs a well-balanced diet, and the best way to accomplish that is through a wide variety of ingredients. Did you know that many dogs love veggies? In fact, if your dog likes to nibble on grass, he may appreciate some of the veggie-oriented recipes in the cookbook. Give it a shot and see what you - and your dog - think. After all, the worst that could happen is an improvement in your pooch’s health!

The only set rule in feeding your pup is to make sure his meals satisfy the unique nutritional requirements any dog has. You don’t have to stick to the bag or the can, and you don’t have to spend hours slaving away in the kitchen. Making dishes for your dog can be a family event, and nothing expresses gratitude better than a big, sloppy, wet kiss. “180 Delicious Gourmet Dog Food Recipes” features a huge array of delectable treats made to please any pup… but you’ll be amazed at how many you can eat, too! It’s a great starting point for any well-rounded nutritional plan for your dog. You’ll both be happy you made the investment!

Google Bring Deskbar Search To Windows Desktop. Now Any Website Can Take Advantage Of This

Google’s premier of desktop search proves that the desktop is an extremely valuable marketing real estate. Google, which holds about 75% of the Internet search market, just introduced “Deskbar” - a small desktop application that allows users to search Google directly from their desktops. Google currently rules the Internet, but positioning themselves on the desktop gives them the power to rule not only the Internet, but also the entire personal computer.

Unlike other interactive marketing avenues, such as website and email, the desktop is virtually free of advertisements and promotional materials. The desktop is competitor free and just waiting to be claimed.

The advantages of desktop search are not limited to Google and their major search engine competitors though. Any website with search technology can take advantage of this new marketing channel including e-commerce and shopping websites, reference sites, online magazines and news sites, and more.

So, if you have content on your site that visitors or clients are interested in searching through on a regular basis, what better way to keep them coming back for more than offering them a desktop search tool? If you could offer them a useful downloadable desktop search application, you could ensure that they will remember you and search your site before your competitors.

Developing a desktop search tool yourself would be quite costly. Luckily, there is a ready-made desktop search tool that can be customized to work with any website’s search.

PromoClock has developed a new desktop search technology that turns your one-time visitors into steady traffic by allowing them to search your site directly from their desktops. To search your site, users simply type their search terms in the desktop search box and click on the “search” button. Users keep the search box running in the background at all times - giving them constant reminders and opportunities to search and patronize your site.

PromoClock’s desktop search box is not just a simple search tool. It is a full marketing application that brands and promotes your website directly on desktops. Each Search Box can be custom designed based on your logo, website images or even Flash presentations. Further enhance your desktop search box with custom menu entries, banner ads and even your own desktop icons. You may also send time-sensitive alerts for added usefulness and advertising exposure. Alerts can include site related tips, product coupons, company news, event notifications and more. For sites looking to entice users with more than just a desktop search, PromoClock is also a useful desktop alarm clock that tells time and activates personal alarms.

So has Google claimed the desktop search? Maybe for now, but with PromoClock’s easy and inexpensive desktop search box, other sites will be soon to follow.

The Apocalypse

The Apocalypse

Revelation 6:2-6:8

The Apocalypse ; I will bring thee down, saith the LORD.
Something disclosed, especially something not previously known
or realized: disclosure, exposé, exposure, and revelation.
Apocalyptic eschatology is marked by the conviction that God
will intervene decisively in the present evil age and vindicate
his suffering elect over their oppressors, raising the dead,
consigning the wicked to eternal destruction, and establishing a
new creation. In the Bible, apocalyptic elements are present in
the books of Ezekiel, Isaiah, Joel, Zechariah, and Daniel. The
collection known as the Pseudepigrapha [1. Spurious writings,
especially writings falsely attributed to biblical characters or
times. 2. A body of texts written between 200 b.c. and a.d. 200
and spuriously ascribed to various prophets and kings of Hebrew
Scriptures. ETYMOLOGY: Greek, from neuter pl. of
pseudepigraphos, falsely ascribed: pseud s, false; see pseudo-+
epigraphein, to inscribe (epi-, epi- + graphein, to write]
Contains a number of early Jewish apocalypses, including 1
Enoch, 4 Ezra, and 2 Baruch. In the New Testament the book of
Revelation is often called the Apocalypse. ( pŏk’
lĭps), allegorical figures in the Book of Revelation in the
Bible. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse; the rider on the
white horse has many interpretations-one is that he represents
Christ; [This view has its skeptics thou, for the rider on the
white horse was Given a Crown, meaning that He had no power
until after it was given to Him, as with the other three
horsemen, the second point here is that whenever Jesus is
mentioned, He is always mentioned having a Sword and never a
bow. This is my interpretation of this.], the rider on the red
horse is war; on the black horse is famine; and on the pale
horse, death. The Apocalyptic nature of man has come from years
of indecisiveness in the worshiping of the creature instead of
the creator. The spiritual battle ground is Israel and
especially Jerusalem, lets read; Tuesday, July 27, 2004 TEHRAN
(AFP) - Iran will wipe Israel “off the face of the earth” if it
dared to attack the Islamic republic’s nuclear facilities, a
spokesman for Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guards was quoted as
saying. “The United States is showing off by threatening to use
its wild dog, Israel,” the public relations head of the
Revolutionary Guards, Commander Seyed Masood Jazayeri, was
quoted as saying by the Iranian student news agency ISNA. Rev
6:2-8; And I saw, and behold a white Horse: and he that sat on
him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth
conquering, and to conquer. And when he had opened the second
seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went
out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that
sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should
kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
Here we see that the writer John, stated that he saw a Great
Sword, not just a sword. A great sword is to signify, great
death was inevitable. And when he had opened the third seal, I
heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a
black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in
his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts
say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of
barley for a penny (An average daily wage, penny, not to be
misunderstood, At this time a days wages will be needed to
sustain food for the people); and see thou hurt not the oil and
the wine. Olive Oil (trees) and Grape wine (Vineyards), two main
commercial staples of Israel. And when he had opened the fourth
seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on
him was Death, and Hell followed with him. (Death was the rider
but after the rider came Hell, speaking of the destination of
those who met Death.) And power was given unto them over the
fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger,
and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. If you notice
in Revelations 6:2-8 , there are the words ; power or crown was
given unto, them, him, and orders of see thou hurt not the oil
and the wine, who was giving these things power, crown and
stipulations of what to leave unhurt? God. Because of the
totality unrighteousness of man, God will have His day of
Vengeance. Rev 6:16-17 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall
on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the
throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: [God is the one on the
Throne and Jesus is the Lamb] { But Jesus is not returning here
in the tenderness of a Lamb but as a roaring Lion and Vengeful
King of Kings.} For the great day of his wrath is come; and who
shall be able to stand? Fire and smoke, mingled with blood, none
will be able to stand, all of mans posturing and great swelling
words will fall on deaf ears as the Son of God breaks thru the
eastern sky. And the elements shall melt with a fervent heat.
Many still today are saying that a righteous God would never
destroy men, because He loves us. This is a misconception on
their behalf. Gods’ word is true and not a lie. His prophecies
will come to pass and His judgments on man are righteous
judgments. Blood will flow to the bridle of the horse for 200
miles, this is fact and a promise from the Almighty. Death, Hell
and the Grave are never satisfied, they always hunger for more
and more, and only thru Jesus can we escape the torment that is
to come upon a lost and unrighteous world. Hell enlarges its
boarders daily, and is never satisfied and never complete. Idle
threats from man have never nor will ever concern our Lord and
savior, but man is headed for the Apocalypse with swift feet and
greed in His heart. The blood will flow and the beasts of the
fields and the fowls of the air will devour the bodies of many.
An Eagle is a bird of prey as are the vulture and others. They
shall be filled with their flesh. The Four Horsemen of the
Apocalypse are the representation of the four plagues that will
consume the enemies of Israel and the Israeli people. This is an
international plague that will touch the lives of all people on
the earth and none shall escape. Oba 1:4 Though thou exalt
thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the
stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD. This
prophecy is against Edom. Its destruction seems to have been
typical, as their father Esau’s rejection; and to refer to the
destruction of the enemies of the gospel church. All the enemies
of God’s church shall be disappointed in the things they stay
themselves on. God can easily lay those low who magnify and
exalt themselves; and will do it. Carnal security ripens men for
ruin, and makes the ruin worse when it comes. Mans laws and mans
statutes will come to no avail when the Great Day of the Lord
comes, and it will come. So ,is there hope yet for man? Isa
40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their
strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall
run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. For
the saved yes, and about the lost, yes, we as Christians must do
as Christ has demanded; ” John 9:4, I must work the works of him
that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can
work.” We all must work while we still have the light. Those
whom are lost must come to Jesus while there is still a light
shining otherwise the night will come upon you to everlasting
darkness.

How To Analyze Your Website Traffic - PART 2

For PART 1 Click here.

Additionally, web traffic stats can help you determine effective
and ineffective areas of your website. If you have a page that
you believe is important, but visitors are exiting it rapidly,
that page needs attention. You could, for example, consider
improving the link to this page by making the link more
noticeable and enticing, or you could improve the look of the
page or the ease that your visitors can access the necessary
information on that page.

If, on the other hand, you notice that visitors are spending a
lot of time on pages that you think are less important, you
might consider moving some of your sales copy and marketing
focus to that particular page.

As you can see, these statistics will reveal vital information
about the effectiveness of individual pages, and visitor habits
and motivation. This is essential information to any successful
Internet marketing campaign.

Your website undoubtedly has exit pages, such as a final order
or contact form. This is a page you can expect your visitor to
exit rapidly. However, not every visitor to your site is going
to find exactly what he or she is looking for, so statistics may
show you a number of different exit pages. This is normal unless
you notice a exit trend on a particular page that is not
intended as an exit page. In the case that a significant
percentage of visitors are exiting your website on a page not
designed for that purpose, you must closely examine that
particular page to discern what the problem is. Once you
pinpoint potential weaknesses on that page, minor modifications
in content or graphic may have a significant impact on the
keeping visitors moving through your site instead of exiting at
the wrong page.

After you have analyzed your visitor statistics, it’s time to
turn to your keywords and phrases. Notice if particular keywords
are directing a specific type of visitor to your site. The more
targeted the visitor - meaning that they find what they are
looking for on your site, and even better, fill out your contact
form or make a purchase - the more valuable that keyword is.

However, if you find a large number of visitors are being
directed - or should I say misdirected - to your site by a
particular keyword or phrase, that keyword demands adjustment.
Keywords are vital to bringing quality visitors to your site who
are ready to do business with you. Close analysis of the
keywords your visitors are using to find your site will give you
a vital understanding of your visitor’s needs and motivations.

Finally, if you notice that users are finding your website by
typing in your company name, break open the champagne! It means
you have achieved a significant level of brand recognition, and
this is a sure sign of burgeoning success.
